Events: 100 and 200 Backstroke and Sprint butterfly. 4 year Letterwinner, 2x All-American, Co-Captain 2002-2003, 2x SEC Academic Honor Roll, University of Florida School Record Holder as member of 200 Individual Medley Relay, Awarded James W Kynes Scholarship 2003-04 - criteria based on excellent academics, outstanding performance and leadership as a NCAA athlete and character traits including exceptional integrity, loyalty, compassion and respect for others evidenced by volunteer activity and community service.

Post Career Highlights

Bachelor’s in Health Science 2003, Master’s of Occupational Therapy 2004 from University of Florida, College of Public Health and Health Professions. Licensed Occupational Therapist since 2005. Specializing in the adult and geriatric population - experience in both acute and chronic illnesses. Six years as the primary Occupational Therapist in a trauma hospital in Asheville, NC. In this role, aided in the recovery of patients in the intensive care unit after traumatic events. These injuries were life-altering and at times resulting in spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and strokes. Member of the therapy team who developed an early mobility program providing therapy to ventilated patients in order to decrease risk of medical complications and promote quicker recovery. Became a Certified Aging in Place Specialist from the National Association of Home Builders in 2013 to inform clients about products and solutions to engage in a livable environment. This designation provided the enhanced knowledge of design and techniques of retrofitting homes that promotes and facilitates homeowners the ability to live independently. Founded Function4Living LLC in 2019 operating in NW Oregon. When combining healthcare knowledge and experience, this business provides a unique approach merging design and function while maximizing an individual’s potential for aging in place.
