Ron Johnson is a retired NFL Player, who played Defensive End for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2003 and part of 2004. He retired due to a career ending back injury that he suffered at the beginning of the 2004 season. Ron attended Shippensburg University and graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in Speech Communications. He planned to be a Consultant or Training Specialist as soon as his career ended. Ron is currently the Director of Client Relations for Stages Planning Group where he works with College and Professional Athletes to educate and help them plan for their financial futures and how to become financially fit. A key member of the Stages Planning Group team for over 3 years, Ron enjoys working with professional athletes in all sports. As a former NFL Player, he knows that professionals have a short window to play at the highest level, and helps them maximize the opportunity. Ron connects with both NCAA and professional players & coaches to educate them on how to make smart choices with their money, and to encourage them to plan for their future. When he retired from the NFL with a career-ending injury, he wanted to stay connected with sports and help young athletes compete and succeed at the highest levels. He enjoys helping athletes and families through every stage of their careers and helping them reach their financial goals. He is also an assistant varsity football coach at Red Lion High School in Pennsylvania and also owns a football camp, Ron’s Rising Stars Football Camps. Ron’s goal is to motivate and inspire people of all ages to reach their goals and to achieve the opportunities that present themselves.
